Introduction

AgentZ is a platform to build and run AI agents. Each agent uses one sandbox, a reusable set of models, packages, tools and allowed hosts. The agent holds a placeholder in place of each secret, and it uses your own AI model.

You use the hosted app at https://agentzharness.ai. You send your first chat message after five short steps. Have a GitHub or Google account ready, plus an API key from a model provider.

Five Words Explain the Product

Each term links to its concept page.

  • Organization: the top-level space for your team. AgentZ creates one for you at sign-up. See Organizations and workspaces.
  • Workspace: a space inside an organization. It holds your agents and secrets. It also holds sandboxes, or it inherits them from the organization. See Organizations and workspaces.
  • Sandbox: a reusable configuration of models, packages, tools and allowed hosts. See Sandboxes.
  • Agent: an AI worker that uses exactly one sandbox. See Agents and sessions.
  • Session: one chat with one agent. See Agents and sessions.

Five Steps Lead to Your First Chat

Do the steps in order. Each step needs the one before it. An agent needs a sandbox, a sandbox needs a model, and a model needs a workspace.

  1. Create a workspace. Sign in, then make the space for your work.
  2. Add a model. Connect your own AI model.
  3. Create a sandbox. Choose what your agent can use.
  4. Create an agent. Name the agent and give it a sandbox.
  5. Send your first chat. Ask the agent a question.

Note

You do not need MCP connections, secrets or skills for a first chat. An MCP connection is a link to an outside tool server. A secret is a credential that one agent uses through a placeholder. A skill is a saved set of instructions. You add all three later.
