Hosted or Self-Hosted¶
Use the hosted app at agentzharness.ai when you do not want to run a cluster. Self-host when AgentZ must run inside your own Kubernetes cluster.
Pick Hosted to Skip the Cluster¶
Open https://agentzharness.ai and sign in with GitHub or Google. AgentZ creates your organization at sign-up. You then follow the quickstart.
For plans, see AgentZ on accuknox.com.
Pick Self-Hosted to Run in Your Cluster¶
The AgentZ source is public at github.com/accuknox/agentZ. You install it with a Helm chart, which is a package of Kubernetes settings.
| Requirement | Value |
|---|---|
| Kubernetes | 1.34 or later |
| Network layer | Cilium, a Kubernetes network layer. It is required |
| Sign-in | GitHub, Google, or email with a password when you configure it |
AgentZ needs Cilium because each agent gets a default-deny Cilium network policy.
You Bring Your Own Model in Both Options¶
Both options let you connect your own model provider. AgentZ sends model calls from a gateway that runs inside the install. See Inference providers.
A Self-Hosted Install Calls These Outside Services¶
The table lists the outbound connections that the repository guide and Helm chart name.
| Service | Used for | Can you change it? |
|---|---|---|
public.ecr.aws | AgentZ container images | Yes. Mirror the images. Set each image.repository Helm value and the agentImage and agentInitImage values |
cache.nixos.org | Nix packages that agents install | Yes. Set manager.config.nixCacheEndpoint |
models.dev | Model suggestions and provider logos. The UI shows Model catalog unavailable when it fails | No. The gateway has a fixed address |
| Your model provider | Model calls, through the AgentZ gateway | You choose the provider |
| GitHub and Google | Optional sign-in | Yes. Leave them unconfigured |
| Let's Encrypt | Public certificates in the quick start | Yes. The guide sets the issuer in a ClusterIssuer |
Next Step¶
Continue with Self-host AgentZ.
