Introducing AgentZ¶

AgentZ is an open-source platform where you build AI agents and decide what each agent can reach. You run them on a schedule or with a webhook. Use the hosted app at agentzharness.ai or self-host it on Kubernetes. The code is under the Apache-2.0 license.

You Bring the Model¶

AgentZ does not tie you to one model vendor. You add an inference provider with your own key. A provider is a model source. See Inference providers.

The catalog covers OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI and Microsoft Azure. It also covers Sarvam AI for Indian languages. An endpoint that speaks the OpenAI or Anthropic API works as a custom provider.

A Sandbox Sets What an Agent Can Use¶

A sandbox is a reusable configuration. It lists the models, software packages, tools, skills and network hosts that an agent may use. Tools come from an MCP connection, which is a link to an outside tool server. See Sandboxes.

Each agent uses exactly one sandbox. Many agents can share it. The network is closed by default, so an agent reaches only the hosts you allow.

Agents Build Their Own Workflows¶

You describe a task in chat. The agent does it once, then saves the steps as a workflow. A workflow runs again on a cron schedule or when a webhook receives a call. A webhook is a web address that another system calls to start the workflow. See Workflows.

You can also ask an agent for a view of your data. It builds a dashboard and keeps it fed. See Dashboards.

Secrets Stay Outside the Agent¶

You save a secret once and list the hosts where it may be used. The agent sees a placeholder, and AgentZ swaps in the real value only on a call to a listed host. Read Zero Secret Exposure for the details.

One Organization Holds Many Teams¶

When you sign in for the first time, AgentZ creates an organization for you. You then create a workspace for each team. A workspace is the space where one team builds and runs agents. Roles control who can do what. Read Organizational Support in AgentZ for the model.
